SOUND OFF launches on January 22 at Hart House
On January 22, the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario (SSO) is launching SOUND OFF - a youth led social initiative to get young people mobilized around mental health issues.
From discrimination and barriers to support, to stigma and negative portrayals in the media - young people are called to rally for change and share ideas. The mental health system can do better. Let your voice be heard. SOUND OFF.
There will be a youth panel, moderated by Troy Sexton, discussing mental health and what could be done to better support people and their mental health concerns. On the panel are:
Ron Mustafaa, Canadian actor
Mona Abadi, SSO Youth Advisory Council co-chair
Ayesha Jabbar, SSO Youth Advisory council member
Alicia Raimundo, SSO Youth Advisory council member
The program will also feature mental health themed performances from Toronto's top creative talent!
