The Schizophrenia Society of Ontario (SSO) is a 3 million dollar charitable organization servicing the community since 1979 with regional offices and services across Ontario. The program department is seeking a dynamic and passionate professional to join our team in the position of Family Support Worker - Phoenix Program; the incumbent will bring expertise, passion and benevolence. The family worker position is a collaborative between the SSO and the Pheonix Program.

The SSO Family Support Worker for the Halton Early Intervention in Psychosis Program plays an integral clinic-to-community linkage role within the program, and will work in an integrated manner with 4 clinical site teams which includes the Ask The Expert help line, to deliver a range of family education and support services. The Family Support Worker will also lead awareness building initiatives in the community among youth and the general public. These services will be provided concurrently with the core clinical team of the Phoenix program and the SSO.

The SSO is committed to improving the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia & psychosis through family education, support programs, public policy, advocacy & research.
