Call for Resolutions from SSO Members

Please consider this the official notification of a call for resolutions from the membership. For a resolution to be valid, only persons who are members under the *family membership category may move and second a motion

(A resolution is a formal statement proposing for SSO to take a specific action.)
  • Resolutions must be submitted in writing to the Corporate Secretary.
  • Resolutions must be submitted to the Board of Directors at least ninety (90) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.  The Board shall then address and comment on the resolution at least sixty (60) days prior to the Annual General Meeting (By-Law No.1 section 9.2).
All resolutions must be postmarked or emailed to the Corporate Secretary no later than Wednesday, June 24th, 2015.

* A Family Member shall consist of individuals with schizophrenia and relatives, friends or other individuals acting in a supportive capacity to someone with schizophrenia, who have paid the membership fee for the current year in full. A Family Member shall be entitled to vote and shall carry all the obligations and rights of membership of the Corporation. (By-law No. 1 – section 8.2 a)
