The SSO Research Advisory Council is comprised of internal and external stakeholders who advise the SSO Board of Directors on stewardship and management of SSO's Research Program. In 2006-2007 members include:

• Bridget Hough, Research Council Chair and President, SSO Board of Directors
• John Trainor, Director of the Community Support and Research Unit (CSRU), CAMH
• Dr. Robert B. Zipursky, Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University. Chief of Psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Healthcare (Hamilton) and Hamilton Health Sciences Hospitals.
