For more than 30 years, the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario (SSO) has provided support services, education programs, reassurance and guidance to individuals and families whose lives have been turned upside down by schizophrenia. Our new Peace of Minds campaign will ensure these vital services are available to the more than 500,000 Ontarians who are directly or indirectly impacted by the disease. This new project will raise funds to:
- Expand essential programs and support services including our 1-800 and
online services - Provide scholarships so people living with schizophrenia can acquire the
education and vocational skills necessary to realize their dreams
Engage and educate youth about schizophrenia and
encourage them to fight stigma by speaking out against
myths related to the disease- Empower those living with schizophrenia to find jobs and
link employers with potential employees
Peace of Minds marks an important next step in SSO's goal to empower people and families so they can face schizophrenia head on and have hope for the future. Schizophrenia is a community disease — it will take a community to ensure that people living with schizophrenia receive the support and services they deserve.
Your support of Peace of Minds will ensure
no one has to face this disease alone.
